Where'd You Get That? Part 1, Emily Levitan

Where'd You Get That? is a series of posts about the local and online shops where members find their textile supplies.

Emily Levitan begins this series for us and lists a few of her favorite suppliers and some of the things she has bought from them and, also, shares a couple of her beautiful projects:

In the Making (a local shop in Cahaba Heights): I have been buying fabric for a sampler quilt from In the Making, plus yarn and needles. I like being able to see and feel what I am buying.

Handknitting.com: I love the DK weight mercerized cotton which is called variously SR Kertzer Super 10, Butterfly Super 10, and EL D. Mouzakis Super 10. It is incredibly sturdy, colorfast, and machine washable and dry-able. Handknitting.com has a great selection of colors.

Lone Star Loom Room: Lone Star Loom Room carries Swedish Bockens yarn. It is meant for weaving, but the 16/1 and 16/2 linen also work wonderfully for knitted lace.
